The Evil Queen in the mud.

Once upon a time there was an Evil Queen. She lived in a large palace overlooking Abbotsford. She was served by shadows, drove a dark chariot pulled by six flying horses, and spent her time causing trouble for the inhabitants of the Fraser Valley. Unbeknownst to the Queen, her magical horses spent their time foiling her plans whenever possible, as they had hearts of gold.

One day, the evil queen decided she would use the rain to create a giant layer of mud to cover the entire Fraser Valley, so everyone would be stuck inside their homes, and everything would be barren and bleak. Flying over the countryside, she sprinkled enchanted pebbles from her chariot window. When they mixed with the raindrops, they became splatters of mud, layering the roads, parks, and yards of every city they passed.

The night before, the Queen's horses had discussed her plan, and come up with a plan of their own. As she spread the pebbles, they were dropping magical seeds.

That night everything slowed down, and the people of the Fraser Valley awaited the morning with trepidation. Surely the mud would be as high as the doorjambs by now, the next day was certain to be depressing and ugly.

The morning came, and the Queen let out a shriek of rage, for even though everything was certainly covered in mud, from the mud grew hundreds of bright, colorful flowers. As they grew, they consumed the mud little by little, and by the afternoon, both flowers and mud were fading away.

As the Queen threw a tantrum upstairs, the horses contentedly munched on their oats, and on the flowers growing outside of their window. "Delicious!"
