The Evil Queen was growing bored. She would sit and watch the cars drive by her window every afternoon and sigh, life was just too dull, and all the little peope below were so happy...
Then she had a bright idea! What if they didn't have those cars? Why, they would be miserable, stuck at home or walking in the rain, it would be perfect. She loved the thought of all those grumpy people.
Quickly the evil queen ran into her spell chamber and created the perfect concoction... when sent up into the clouds, this spell would make auto-invisi-rain, leaving every car it touched invisible. People would never know what happened to their precious cars!
That night the Queen and her magical horses flew up to the clouds, where she sprinkled her spell, and the next morning they awoke to hear grumbles and protests, and no car sounds. The Queen stood on her roof wrapped in an invisibility cloak and gloated.
The horses had been caught by surprise, so they quickly scrambled together some ingredients and made a magic birdseed, depending on the birds to spread their antidote.
That day some people were miserable, some people stayed home and complained, but others began to problem solve. They took the bus, they wore warm clothes and walked, they took their bikes, and they began to find that they could function without their cars. Occasionally, a bid would fly over and poop "splat" onto an invisible car, and it would slowly return to sight, pleasing an owner immensely.
It was over a week before the cars were mostly visible again, and by then many of the people had begun to carpool, take the bus, and walk. The evil Queen was again tearing at her hair and screaming in frustration, people were happier and healthier, and not grumpy at all! How had it all gone wrong?
The magical horses watched as a bird flew over Mt. Lehman Road and another car crystallized into sight with a splat.
